Watch: Thousands Gather In Sussex County For Funeral Of Turkish Dissident Fethullah Gulen
Hundreds of people gathered at Skylands Ballpark for the funeral of Fethullah Gulen, a prominent Turkish Muslim cleric, who inspired a movement in his native country, on Thursday, Oct. 24.
The funeral in Frankford Township caused delays in the area, with Sussex County Sheriff Michael Strada asking drivers to avoid the intersections of Route 15, 206, 565 and the surrounding area during the funeral.
Gulen's official X account said that an estimated 20,000 people were inside and outside of the ballpark for this funeral. The stadium has 4,200 seats, the website says.

Sussex County Man Airlifted After ATV Crash: Njsp
A 21-year-old Sussex County man had to be airlifted to a hospital after an ATV crash on the evening of Saturday, Oct. 19, authorities said.
At 10:57 p.m., police responded to a property on East Shore Culver Road in Frankford Township after a Honda Fortrax ATV entered the roadway, lost directional control and the driver fell from the vehicle, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
The driver, a Branchville resident, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital, LeBron said.
The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Dump Truck Driver, 32, Killed In Sussex County Crash: State Police
A dump truck driver was killed in a Sussex County crash Monday, August 21, state police confirmed.
The crash occurred near 78 Fox Hill Road in Frankford Township just after 10:20 a.m., NJSP Det. I Jeffrey Lebron told Daily Voice.
Joseph S. Spagnuolo, 32, was heading north in a Ford 800 dump truck when the vehicle veered off the left side of the road, hit the guardrail, and overturned into the woods, Lebron said.
Spagnuolo, of Frankford Township, was killed in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said. No further details were released.
