Box Truck Overturns Into Woods Trapping Victim Along Route 287 (Photos) A box truck overturned into the woods along Route 287 early Friday, Jan. 10, trapping one person inside of the vehicle, firefighters said (scroll down for photos). Firefighters responded to Route 287 South off of Route 78 West and found a box truck overturned with a person trapped inside, the Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department said.  Firefighters worked to clear trees and extricate the driver, authorities said. Driver, 66, Hospitalized In Route 17 Rollover A 66-year-old driver was hospitalized following a rollover crash on Route 17. The Belleville woman's Hyundai overturned outside the Element New York Wood-Ridge hotel on the highway's southbound side shortly before 9 p.m. Monday, April 10. She was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with head and arm injuries, responders said. A report that another occupant was also hospitalized with lesser injuries couldn't immediately be confirmed. Hasbrouck Heights police joined their Wood-Ridge colleagues at the scene.

Trapped Victim Extricated Following 2-Car Crash At Parsippany Intersection A trapped victim had to be extricated by emergency crews following a two-car crash at an intersection in Parsippany, authorities said. The Parsippany District 5 Fire Department responded to the crash at Vail Road and North Beverwyck Road just before 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13. Crews worked to deploy a precautionary line as they prepared to extricate one victim from the driver’s side of one of the vehicles, the department said. Heroes: Sedan Collides With Bus Off Route 17, Victim Extricated By East Rutherford Firefighters PHOTOS: East Rutherford firefighters extricated a woman from a sedan that barreled down an embankment after hitting a New Jersey Transit bus on Friday. Witnesses said the Hyundai Elantra with New York State license plates collided with the bus at Enoch Street and Paterson Avenue just off southbound Route 17 after its driver blew a stop sign.
