Bogus Call Of Gunman Holding Victims Leads Police To Pair Of Fugitives At Secaucus Hotel
What turned out to be a bogus call of a man barricaded in a Secaucus hotel led police to two Passaic County repeat offenders who were both wanted on warrants, authorities said. Officers who responded to the Extended Stay America on Meadowland Parkway didn’t find a man with a gun who was not allowing others in a hotel room to leave, as the caller had claimed, Police Chief Dennis Miller said. What they did find were outstanding warrants for Zaire Jacobs, a 26-year-old ex-con with multiple probation violations out of Paterson, and Miguel Pacheco, 41, of Hawthorne, who was wanted in DeKalb…

Lyman said. Olsen already had a drug-related criminal history, as well as outstanding warrants out of Bergen and Morris counties. She was sent to the Bergen County Jail and was later ordered by a Superior Court judge in Hackensack to …

Dee Snider Backs Ukrainians Using Twisted Sister's 'We're Not Gonna Take It' As Battle Cry
Dee Snider says it's twisted thinking to wonder why he endorses Ukrainians blasting the popular anthem "We're Not Gonna Take It" in their fight against the Russian invasion after he opposed its use by COVID anti-maskers. “I absolutely approve of Ukrainians using ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’ as their battlecry,” Snider tweeted. "My grandfather was Ukrainian before it was swallowed up by the USSR after WW2. This can’t happen to these people again!” Snider, the 66-year-old frontman of Twisted Sister (the heavy metal pride of Bergen County), got initial blowback for using the hashtag #F***RUSSIA …

Would-Be Robbers Ambush Rutherford Hotel Hooker, Flee Empty-Handed, Police Say
Two would-be robbers targeted a prostitute plying her trade at a Rutherford hotel and ended up fleeing empty-handed, authorities said. The 34-year-old Bronx woman had "set up shop" at the Extended Stay America just off Route 3 when a scheduled customer knocked on the door just after 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Police Capt. Patrick Feliciano said. Seeing one man there, she opened the door and was rushed by him and an accomplice, Feliciano said. "It turns out they'd set her up," the captain said. "She told them her money was in another room with someone else," he said. "When they backed off, she ra…
