TikToking NJ Superior Court Judge Suspended
One of New Jersey's top judges has been suspended without pay over his TikTok accounts. A formal complaint by the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct was filed last year against Bergen County Superior Court Judge Gary N. Wilcox. The complaint cites Wilcox's 40 since-deleted videos posted under the pseudonym "Sal Tortorella" from April 2021 to March 2023. A prominent writer for New York Magazine and New Jersey native was placed on leave after engaging in a relationship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr, who recently ended his independent presidential campaign. Judge In Essex Who Said 'Men Are In Control' Calls Remark 'Misguided'
A municipal court judge who sits in East Orange part-time and is an acting judge in Newark admitted Monday that comments he made to a defendant facing domestic violence charges were inappropriate, the Associated Press reported.
