The motorcyclist killed in a crash Tuesday on Route 206 has been identified as a New Jersey State Police sergeant and member of the US National Guard. Juan Fajardo, 41, of Columbus, was on his Ducati when he collided with a Ford Transit van around 4:15 p.m. near the Mansfield Square shopping center, Mansfield police said. Life saving measures performed by EMS and police officers were unsuccessful. Fajardo served with the New Jersey State Police for more than 16 years and was a member of the 139th State Police Class. Racing Paramus Motorcyclist, 29, Killed In NY Crash, State Police Say
A 29-year-old Paramus man died while racing his motorcycle on I-87 in Westchester County, NY, authorities said. Frank Mahouti was heading northbound on a 2018 Ducati near mile marker 3.5 in Yonkers when he failed to negotiate a curve at a high rate of speed around 1 a.m. Aug. 13, NY State Trooper Tara McCormick said. The Ducati struck the guide rail on the east shoulder, ejecting Mahouti from his bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Westchester County Medical Examiner. Hunterdon County Native, Former Firefighter John Franks Dies, 39
Hunterdon County native and former Frenchtown firefighter John Franks died Nov. 24 at the age of 39. Born in Raritan Township, Franks graduated from Delaware Valley Regional High School, his obituary says. He later attended the American Motorcycle Institute (AMI) in Daytona Beach, FL, where he specialized in Ducati motorcycle repair, his memorial says. Motorcyclist Airlifted With Serious Injuries In Route 80 Crash
A motorcyclist was airlifted with serious injuries in a crash on Route 80 in Warren County Sunday afternoon morning, state police said. The rider of a Ducati motorcycle was traveling westbound in Allamuchy Township and ran off the left side of the road near milepost 21.8 just before 1:30 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Lawrence Peele told Daily Voice. The rider was ejected after hitting the metal guardrail and airlifted to Morristown Medical Center with serious injuries, police said.
