A Seton Hall University student died after suffering a medical emergency in a dorm room Monday, school officials said. The unidentified student was in Neumann Hall at the time of the incident, according to SHU President Joseph E. Nyre. The cause of death was not released, pending a medical examiner's report. A Dover high school student is in critical condition after being hit by a car on a highway crossing Route 46 after a football game Friday night, local police say. The 15-year-old boy was heading toward the McDonald's on the westbound side of the highway in Rockaway Borough when he was struck around 9:50 p.m., Police Sgt. Kyle Schwarzmann said. Fair Lawn schools will be offering counseling Tuesday following the sudden death of a Thomas Jefferson Middle School student, district officials said.
