QuickChek Opens New North Jersey County Location
QuickChek is setting up in shop in Morris County. The convenience store celebrated the opening of its new 5,868 square-foot store at 235 Route 10 East in East Hanover on Tuesday, Aug. 15. As part of the grand opening celebration, QuickChek is giving away one free cup of coffee per customer, per day, for 7 days to QuickChek Rewards members at the East Hanover store. The new East Hanover store is open 24 hours a day. QuickChek has been expanding throughout the Garden State, recently opening a location in Totowa in May.

North Jersey Store Clerk Saves Would-Be Scam Victim Last Minute
A North Jersey store clerk came to the rescue of a distraught 90-year-old woman who was moments away from losing thousands in a scam. The Nutley woman had gotten a call from a girl claiming to be her granddaughter asking for help and to “please don’t tell mom” on Friday, April 29, Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo said. A man pretending to be from Sayreville then took over the call and told the woman that her granddaughter had been arrested and that she needed to send money immediately. Wawa Approved In Wayne, 4 Other NJ Locations Opening Soon
Wawa is coming to Wayne. The township's Planning Board on Monday unanimously approved plans for the convenience store and gas station at the former site of Nagel's Candy Barn on Route 23. The 4,736-square-foot convenience store comes with eight fuel pumps with two dispensers each. Nagel's Candy Barn closed in 2015 after the owner got sick, after nearly 60 years in business.
