: Fire Crews Douse Fully Engulfed Car Blaze At Morris County Apartment Complex
Fire crews in Morris County were quick to extinguish a car that went up in flames at a local apartment complex Tuesday afternoon. The vehicle caught fire at Beaverbrook Garden Apartments on Comly Road in Lincoln Park around 2 p.m., the local police department said. The car was fully engulfed in flames as the department arrived at the scene — though the driver had already exited safely, authorities said. New Lincoln Park Retail Space Available At Former Valero Site
The site of the former Valero gas station in Lincoln Park will soon be replaced by a brand new retail space. "The Corner Shoppes" on Comly Road were approved by the LP Planning Board earlier this month. The 8,000-square-foot building opposite Boro Hall has five retail units up for lease, available August and September of this year. The construction status was listed as "proposed" on the building's listing. : Tuesday Crash KOs Power, Shuts Lincoln Park Street Until Midnight
A portion of Boonton Turnpike in Lincoln Park will be closed until 12 a.m. Wednesday after a violent car accident Tuesday morning, police said. A truck collided with a sedan at the intersection of Riverview Avenue before spinning out of control and landing underneath a bent utility pole just before 7 a.m., ABC7 reports. The turnpike will be closed between Comly and Ryerson roads, police said. Local residents reported power outages following the crash.
