The discovery was made at Chatham Middle School on Monday, May 1, according to local police. The shell casing was turned over to the principal and School Resource Officer Brian Stanton who immediately notified the police department. Chatham High School’s starting time will be pushed back from 7:40 a.m. to 8:20 a.m. for the 2022-23 school year, according to a letter sent to parents from Schools Superintendent Michael LaSusa.
