Man Hospitalized After Falling Into Lehigh Valley River, Police Say
Emergency crews came to the rescue of a man who fell into a Lehigh Valley river on Thursday, May 19, authorities said. Allentown Police responded to Adams Island and found the victim submerged in the river just after 7:15 p.m., Police Chief Charles Roca said. Officers Kayla Balatgek and Andrew Gehringer immediately entered the river and removed the man from the water, where EMS crews began performing CPR, Roca said. Allentown Police Detective James Stanko Dies
The Allentown Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its own. Detective James Stanko, 51, died Monday morning surrounded by loved ones. A cause of death was not made public. NJ Road Rage Driver Accused Of Shooting Man Dead In PA
A 25-year-old New Jersey man was arrested for fatally shooting another man in Pennsylvania after an apparent road rage incident on Tuesday, authorities and reports say. Justin “Nuk” Nevius, of Phillipsburg, is facing charges of homicide and prohibited possession of a firearm in connection with the killing of 42-year-old Kippy Henry, of South Whitehall Township, according to Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin and Allentown police chief Charles Roca.
