Beloved Pet Services Company Owner From Clifton, 31, Struck, Killed, Arrest Made
Detectives arrested a driver who they said struck and killed a beloved pet services company owner outside a Clifton supermarket.
Chloe Villar-Severino, 31, was struck by an SUV in the parking lot of the Aldi on Lakeview Avenue on Tuesday, authorities said.
Villar-Severino, who owned and operated Ruff Lyfe, died the next day at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, they said.
“My heart is broken to a million pieces on the passing of my beautiful daughter,” wrote her mother, Esther Velez.

Police: Woman, 49, Hospitalized After Being Struck By SUV In Warren County Crosswalk
A NYC woman was hospitalized after being struck by an SUV in a marked crosswalk in Warren County Saturday afternoon, police said.
Tjasa Garib, 35, was behind the wheel of a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe when she reached for her sunglasses while making a left turn onto East Stiger Street in Hackettstown around 1:10 p.m., hitting Maria Gonzalez, who was in a marked crosswalk, police said.
Gonzales, 49, was taken to Hackettstown Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
Garib, of Independence Township, was issued a summons for careless driving.
Police: DWI PA Man, 41, Busted With Loaded Handgun In Parking Lot Of Warren County Bagel Shop
A PA man was under the influence when he was stopped in the parking lot of a Warren County bagel shop and found with a loaded handgun Tuesday night, authorities said.
Jarrett Feldman, 41, was stopped by a Washington Township (Morris County) officer for a violation at Budd Lake Bagel & Deli (333 Mountain Ave. in Hackettstown) just after 10 p.m., authorities said.
Feldman, of Bath, was determined to be intoxicated, and a search of his vehicle turned up a Sig Sauer handgun with the magazine inserted, Hackettstown Police said.
