Tragedy In High Bridge: Crossing Guard Killed Remembered For Life Of Service Robert "Bob" Bork, a 79-year-old High Bridge crossing guard struck and killed by a car last week is being remembered for his dedication to helping others. Bork was hit by a southbound vehicle on County Road 513 at the intersection of Larrison Avenue last Wednesday, Nov. 28, according to the High Bridge Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office. Bork was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center, where he later died, officials said.  Good morning. South Jersey Teen Who Died Playing Frisbee Was Avid Programmer, Boy Scout A memorial scholarship has been launched in memory of a 16-year-old boy from South Jersey who died suddenly while playing frisbee with family members. Owen Cotty, a student at Methacton high School, was tossing the frisbee with his dad when he fell to the ground on Saturday, Aug. 6, his dad, Adam Cotty said. Beloved Hunterdon County Native Charles Brighthaupt, Jr. Dies After Valiant Cancer Battle, 41 Beloved Hunterdon County resident Charles “Chip” Edward Brighthaupt, Jr. died Sunday at Hunterdon Medical Center following a long and valiant battle with a rare form of cancer known as Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He was 41 years old. A lifelong Ringoes resident, Brighthaupt graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School before attending Raritan Valley Community College, where he studied computer aided drafting with dreams of becoming an architect, his obituary says.
