The sudden death of a 10-year-old world Salsa dancing champion whose father is an elected official and mother is a Board of Education member has devastated the Linden community.
Ariel Rivas Rosado died in what local officials are calling a "tragic accident" on Friday, Feb. 10. His mother is BOE member Dayanara Rosado Quezada, and his father is 5th Ward Councilman Carlos Rivas.

Timothy M. O'Hare -- father, husband, Marine, school board member, Bergen County sheriff's officer and much more -- died the morning of Sunday, Nov. 20. He was 50 years old.
O'Hare loved his wife and kids fiercely. He served his country proudly. And he moved through the world with a joy and enthusiasm that nothing -- not even a lengthy, valiant battle against cancer -- could quench.

Mount Olive HS Grad, Board Of Education Member, Dog Shelter Volunteer Josh Camoia Dies, 25
Mount Olive High School graduate and Board of Education member Josh Camoia died Nov. 13 at the age of 25.
Camoia, born in Morristown, graduated from Mount Olive High School in 2013 and had served as a member of the district’s Board of Education for the past seven years, his obituary says.
Camoia, who lived in Flanders at the time of his death, had a passion for animals and volunteered for dog adoption days at the 11th Hour Rescue Shelter, his memorial says.
He also loved music, playing the guitar and attending concerts.
