Services have been finalized for Marcin Bednarz, a 22-year-old paramedic from Bergen County who died in a New York crash on Sunday, April 28.
Marcin, a paramedic with the Wallington Fire Department, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Arden Valley Road in Tuxedo, N.Y. at 3:18 p.m., according to a New York State Police report.
His obituary on the Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service website says he had "just begun his journey of his part of the American dream."

UPDATE: An electrical supervisor from Bergen County admitted soaking the Hudson Bergen Light Rail for nearly a half-million dollars worth of no-show work, including while he was vacationing in Florida, federal authorities said.
Joseph Ferrara, 56, of North Arlington, "submitted claims for compensation covering hundreds of hours relating to work allegedly performed during regular, overtime and double time hours" that was, in fact, never done, U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Philip Sellinger said.

Parental Abduction: Woman Caught In Stolen Car In Lodi With Child Taken From Bogota: Prosecutor
A Jersey City woman was nabbed in a stolen car in Lodi after abducting her child a day earlier from a home in nearby Bogota, authorities said.
Jahlea Jones, 28, was charged with child endangerment, interfering with custody, contempt of court and receiving stolen property, among other offenses, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
Jones had taken the child on Wednesday, April 24, knowing that she was not privileged to do so," the prosecutor said.
