Carlos Mendez, of Lopatcong Township, died Sunday, Sept. 3, his obituary says. He was 46.
Born in Cleveland, OH, Carlos worked as an IT administrator for Huston Lumber in Watchung. He was known for his love of the outdoors, especially riding ATVs.
Above all, Carlos had an endless passion for helping others, as well as spending time with his family members and many close friends.

4 Charged In Major Meth, Cocaine Bust At Warren County Home: Prosecutor
Four suspects were charged after a month-long investigation led to the discovery of meth, cocaine, and other drugs in Warren County, authorities said.
Shawn Hopper, 50, and Aysha Aguilu, 32, were charged with second-degree possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, distributing methamphetamine, and other drug offenses, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said in a Monday release with local officials.
Jeffrey Denny, 36, of Clinton, and Erica Butters, 46, of Morristown were also charged with unlawful drug possession, while Denny was charged with hindering.

Born in Phillipsburg, Jennifer graduated from Belvidere High School in 2003 before attending Empire Beauty Academy, her obituary says.

A Warren County man was jailed on accusations of burglary, stalking and harassment, police said Tuesday.
John Hargreaves, 32, was taken into custody June 18 — about 24 hours after police say he broke into a home at Shakespeare Estates in Independence Township.
Hargreaves, of Belvidere, was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, stalking and harassment, township police said.
He was being held at the Warren County Jail pending an initial appearance in court.

A Warren County woman was charged with arson in connection to a Monday morning fire above a flea market, authorities said.
Jennifer L. Lammond, 47, is accused of purposely setting fire to an apartment above the Five Acres Flea Market on Route 46 in White Township, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said in a joint release with other county officials.

A 57-year-old Warren County man is facing numerous charges for making child porn and distributing it on several social media platforms, authorities said.
George Oakes, 4th, of Colby Court in Belvidere, was charged Wednesday with manufacturing child pornography, two counts of distribution, three counts of possession of more than 1,000 images and two counts of possession of less than 1,000 images, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Warren County Family Dollar Slated To Close
One of the two Family Dollar stores in Warren County will soon close its doors for good, officials said.
The store on Route 31 in Washington has begun clearance sales in anticipation of the closure, which will occur “within the next few weeks,” a company representative said.
“We do close stores occasionally for a variety of reasons, including sale of the property, end of a lease term, etc.,” the representative told Daily Voice in an email.
The Belvidere location, meanwhile, remains unaffected, officials said.

State Police: DWI Warren County Home Burglary Suspects Nabbed On Rt. 80 With Hypodermic Needles
Two men who had just burglarized a Warren County home while under the influence were later nabbed while fleeing on Route 80, state police said.
Stephen Coppo, 31, and James Schreffler, 33, were heading west on Route 80 after breaking into a home on Hope Road in Blairstown just after midnight Monday, NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice.
State police stopped the pair’s Gold Chrysler minivan near milepost 8.6 in Knowlton Township and found hypodermic needles and prescription drugs in the vehicle, Goez said.

Two men including one arrested for an armed robbery have been charged with using drugs to force a woman into prostitution for more than month in North Jersey, authorities said.
William Wilson, 47, of Belvidere, NJ and Jeremiah Forde, 39, of Budd Lake, forced the adult female into acts of prostitution out of a Hanover hotel, then collected the proceeds, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M.
