Morris County Man Gets 7 Years For Possessing Images Of Children Being Abused: Feds
A 53-year-old Morris County man was sentenced on Monday, Sept. 16, to seven years in prison for possessing and distributing child pornography, authorities said. For three weeks in 2021-2022, Anselmo Girimonte, a Wharton resident, distributed material containing images and video files of child sexual abuse, via a publicly available online peer-to-peer file-sharing program, US Attorney Philip Sellinger said. UPDATE: A now-former Hudson County grammar school teacher from Morris County admitted in federal court that he trafficked child porn. Anselmo Girimonte, 53, of Wharton, had taught Italian in grades 3 through 8 in the Kearny School District since 2006, according to his LinkedIn profile. A longtime Hudson County grammar school teacher from Morris County shared child porn images with undercover investigators who found hundreds more on his cellphone, federal authorities charged. A Hudson County grammar school teacher from Morris County was arrested by federal agents who caught him trafficking child porn, authorities said.
