NJ Infant Killed By Family Dog: Prosecutor
An infant is dead after being mauled by the family dog in Central Jersey, authorities said. Police were called to a Mereline Avenue home in Avenel around 6:15 a.m. Saturday, March 9, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Woodbridge Police Department Director Robert Hubner said. Officers found the mother and baby, who sustained serious injuries from the dog. The baby was pronounced dead on scene while the mother and father were transported to the hospital for treatment. A 71-year-old Pennsylvania woman was the second person in three days to be gored by a bison at Yellowstone National Park, according to park officials. The unnamed West Chester woman and her daughter came across the animal while returning to the car at the Yellowstone Lake trailhead — causing him to charge on Wednesday, June 29. A child was hospitalized after being bitten by a pet kinkajou in a Wallington park, responders said Wednesday night. A Bergenfield mom is suing the owner of two pits bulls who she claimed killed her special-needs son’s support cat in front of their eyes. A Morris Plains mother working in her garden with her 2-year-old daughter was bitten by a fox. Sally Deeney of Brook Drive South said she thought a cat or dog was behind her Wednesday before she realized it was a fox covered in dirt, the DailyRecord reports.
