Officers were called to the Wegman's store on Sylvan Way July 23 on a report of a suspicious person. A loss prevention officer told police about the activity and also provided a license plate number, police said.
A vehicle with that registration was stopped on Rt. 10 and the driver, Philippe Leger, was asked to report to police headquarters for an interview, which he agreed to do. Following the interview, Leger was arrested and charged with invasion of privacy.
He was being held at the Morris County jail pending a court date.
