Stewart's Reopens On Route 46, Car-Hop Service Returning Soon

Stewart's Root Beer Drive-In is back on Route 46 for one more season -- and soon the car-hop service will be, too.

The all-American roadside eatery that opened more than 70 years ago closed in 2017 during talks of converting the restaurant into a Wendy's.

But negotiation and approval delays has given owner Hugo Degidi another season, to many customers' delight.

Crinkle-cut fries, frothy root beer floats, Coney Island hot dogs and cheeseburgers are among the favorite menu items at Stewart's.
