More than $8,900 had been raised for the Allentown Road home family as of Saturday evening on a GoFundMe launched by teen William Elvin's teacher, Michael Iapicca.

The family is in need of large and extra-large women's clothing and large clothing for men.

A collection box will be at Parsippany Town Hall effected Monday, Dec. 9, for clothing and gift card donations.

William and his younger sibling were home when the kitchen fire broke out around 5:40 p.m. Thursday. They called 911 and were able to escape uninjured. It is unclear if their cat made it out of the blaze.
