The highest snowfall in the state was measured 2 miles northwest of Cape May, where a cooperative observer reported 8.1 inches of accumulation at 1 p.m., the NWS reports. Schools in Deptford and Woodbury were closed on Monday, Sept. 9 due to the threats, which turned out to be unfounded.
