Ramsey Resident ID'd As Pedestrian Killed By Train (Update) Officials have identified the pedestrian struck and killed by an NJ Transit train on Monday, Dec. 16. John Redinger, 62, of Ramsey, was struck by Train No. 56 on the Port Jervis Line east of the Ramsey station around 9:15 a.m., NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba said.  The train, which departed Port Jervis at 7:39 a.m., was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 9:52 a.m.  There were no injuries reported to the approximately 10 customers and crew on board. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella confirmed the death of the Fort Lee youngster, whom he said was found unresponsive by first responders at a Maple Street residence shortly after 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25. She was pronounced dead at Hackensack University Medical Center a short time later.
