Three early-morning crashes blocked traffic in New Jersey on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Marlboro police shared a photo of a vehicle that had overturned, at some point knocking down a telephone pole and wires on Tennant Road. As of 8 a.m., the road was closed between Greenwood Road and Wooleytown Road. JCP&L was notified. One borough in Bergen County is raking in all the dough. According to Stacker.com, Ho-Ho-Kus was named New Jersey's richest municipality with at least 1,000 people, citing the Census Bureau American Community Survey Five-Year Data. Ho-Ho-Kus has a median household income of $250,000, with workers earning a median of $109,922. The borough has an unemployment rate of 2% with 0% of families living below the poverty line. Twenty-three unlicensed movers have been issued notices of violation and assessed civil penalties totaling $125,000, New Jersey officials said. Would-Be Jumper Hospitalized After Closing Lanes Of George Washington Bridge (

A would-be George Washington Bridge jumper was hospitalized Tuesday night, Sept. 24, after bringing traffic along the bridge to a halt, authorities said. A spokesperson for the Port Authority Police Department confirmed the investigation but not have any further information as of 7:40 p.m. Wednesday morning, a spokesperson said that the incident was reported at 5:42 p.m. near the 179th Street ramp in the westbound lanes. All lanes along the ramp were closed. The man was removed and taken to a local hospital, the PAPD said. Traffic resumed at 7:24 p.m.

Nearly 2,600 people employed by a North Jersey hospital chain are expected to be laid off by the end of the year, according to a newly-filed WARN notice.
