DUI Driver Rams Police K9 Vehicle Containing Two Dogs In Bergen County: Police A Newark man was arrested early Friday morning, Dec. 13, after crashing his vehicle into a sign and later ramming a police K9 vehicle in Maywood, police said. The incident unfolded around 1:07 a.m. when Maywood officer John Burns spotted a vehicle at the intersection of Maywood Avenue and Lenox Avenue with its driver, Florencio Hernandez-Rivera, asleep at the wheel, the department said.
