Pedestrian Struck By Train In Newark A New Jersey Transit train struck and injured a man in Newark Wednesday night, Dec. 18, rail officials confirmed. The incident occurred at approximately 7:18 p.m. when Gladstone branch train 439, which had departed Hoboken at 6:48 p.m., was en route to its final destination in Gladstone, according to NJ Transit. The train was scheduled to arrive at 8:05 p.m. The crash happened near the Broad Street station. 2.9 Magnitude Earthquake Rattles New Jersey New Jersey was rattled by a small earthquake on Friday morning, May 24, the USGS reports. It happened at 3:50 a.m. in Tewksbury, approximately 6 kilometers southwest of Gladstone, the USGS says. The Ramapo Fault System, which runs through NY, PA, NJ, MD, and VA, has clearly been a hot spot.  Countless quakes and aftershocks have developed along the system since the 4.8-magnitude earthquake on April 5.
