The Attorney General’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability (OPIA) released three 911 calls and body-worn camera footage from a fatal police-involved shooting in Pemberton Township last October. The civilian who died during the Oct. 19, 2024 encounter was identified as Marvin Taylor, 57, of Browns Mills, the office said. Wayne police say this incident involved a 44-year-old Queens, NY man, who had drowned in a backyard pool on Rutgers Court. Officers responded to a home on Rutgers Court around 10:36 p.m. Saturday, July 19, after a report of a car crashing into a swimming pool. A 12-year-old boy was killed after a tree holding up a backyard zipline snapped and fell on him in Pennsylvania, authorities said. Emergency crews were called to a home on the 1400 block of Chadwyck Lane in East Hempfield Township around 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, March 30, for a medical emergency involving a child, according to East Hempfield Township police. Two teenagers were airlifted with serious injuries in a North Jersey crash with an SUV on Tuesday, Oct. 8, police said. The 14-year-old and 15-year-old boys were in a Polaris Sportsman 850 heading north on Highlander Drive in West Milford, when they crossed the center line into the opposite lane of travel around 4 p.m., Lt. The 6-year-old boy who died after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool at a South Jersey summer camp has been identified, authorities said.
