Rescuers Save Dog Caught In Tide In Jersey Shore Inlet, Firefighters Say A dog was rescued from an inlet in Cape May County, officials said. The Stone Harbor and North Wildwood fire departments responded to the Hereford Inlet for a water rescue at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, the Stone Harbor firefighters union said in a Facebook post. Firefighters received a report that a dog named Bruno was swimming far from shore and in distress. A boat crew went to the inlet and quickly found Bruno struggling to swim in the tide.
