A New Jersey woman was killed in upstate New York over the weekend when a tree fell on her camper during fierce thunderstorms that ripped through the region, authorities said. At about 10:50 a.m. the Delaware County 911 Center received multiple reports of trees down on campers at multiple locations with an individual trapped at the Russell Brook Campground in the Town of Colchester. A 6-year-old boy died after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool at a South Jersey summer camp, authorities said. The incident happened Monday, June 24 at about 2 p.m. while the child was at Liberty Lake Day Camp at 1195 Florence Columbus Road, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Man Dies By Suicide After Shooting Woman In Atlantic County Home, Authorities Say
A Pleasantville man shot a woman before he died by suicide, authorities said. Pleasantville police responded to a domestic violence report at a home on South Third Street at around 4:05 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. Person Suffers Severe Leg Injury Cutting Tree Branches In South Jersey
A person in Atlantic County was seriously injured while in a tree cutting branches, officials said. Pleasantville firefighters responded to a yard on North Woodland Avenue at around 12:16 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, the fire department said in a Facebook post. A United States Postal Service worker was injured when his van caught fire in Atlantic County, officials said. Margate firefighters and police responded to the fire on Clarendon Avenue near Amherst Avenue at around 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, the fire department said in a Facebook post. Bicyclist, 14, Dies Days After Route 38 Crash, State Police Say
A 14-year-old bicyclist hospitalized after being struck by an SUV in Burlington County a week ago died two days later, authorities said. The teenager was hit on the westbound side of Route 38 at about 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 14 as he tried to cross the highway near milepost 19.1 in Southampton, New Jersey State Police said. A 57-year-old woman was killed and three others were hurt in a crash in Trenton, authorities said.
