A pedestrian was struck and killed in a two-vehicle crash on New Year’s Eve in Atlantic City, police said. The incident occurred at 10:47 p.m. on December 31, 2024, at the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Absecon Boulevard, according to the Atlantic City Police Department. When officers arrived, they found a 38-year-old Atlantic City man suffering from injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A Pleasantville woman was six months pregnant when police said she was killed by her boyfriend, according to a fundraising campaign. A GoFundMe page was created for 25-year-old Leslianet Quintana-Betancourt. Investigators said the woman expecting a baby boy died from “multiple blunt force injuries” on Monday, Dec. 2. Three 13-year-olds from Atlantic City were accused of crashing a stolen SUV, authorities said. A man reported on Thursday, July 25 that his Kia Sportage was stolen overnight on the 500 block of Delaware Avenue, the Atlantic City Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, July 30. Two officers spotted the SUV driving near the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Absecon Boulevard at around 11:35 p.m. on Sunday, July 28.
