Woman, 36, Embezzles $400K From Employer, Bergen Prosecutor Says A 36-year-old Passaic County woman is facing charges in Bergen County after authorities say she stole $400,000 from her employer, officials announced. Briana Rodriguez embezzled the money through unauthorized refunds to accounts under her control through her role as a medical billing professional, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Jersey City Man Stole From Union City Homeowner's Association: Prosecutor A 39-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged on Monday, June 17 with stealing more than $150,000 from a homeowner's association in Union City, authorities said. Eric Li misused funds from the homeowner's association for personal gain while he served as board president from 2017 to 2023, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. He was charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking, Suarez said. He was released pending his first court appearance next month, Suarez said.
