Union City Man Critical After Hit By Motorcycle That Fled Scene: Prosecutor A 54-year-old Union City man is in critical condition after he was struck a motorcycle in a hit and run crash in West New York on Saturday, Aug. 17, authorities said. At 3:40 p.m., West New York police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a motorcycle on Bergenline Avenue and 57th Street and found the victim with life-threatening injurie, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.  The occupant of the motorcycle fled the scene on foot, Suarez said.  The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he remains in critical condition, Suarez said.
