Two Injured In Warren County House Fire: Police

Two people were injured in a house fire in Washington Township on the evening of Monday, Feb. 12, authorities said.

At 9:29 p.m., first responders responded to a residence on the 400 block of E. Washington Avenue for a structure fire, Washington Township police said. Upon arrival, flames and heavy smoke conditions were observed and soon the home was fully engulfed, police said. 

Two people had self evacuated prior to arrival, police said. A 60-year-old man was airlifted to St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, while a 51-year-old woman was airlifted to Cedar Crest Hospital in Leigh Valley, Pa., police said.

The fire appears accidental and remains under investigation, police said.
