A vehicle fire shut down a portion of Route 78 in Hunterdon County on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 22. The vehicle went up in flames on the eastbound side east of exit 11 to CR 614/Pattenburg Road in Union Township around 2:45 p.m., according to 511NJ. A tractor-trailer overturned and took down poles and wires in Hunterdon County on Monday morning, Oct. 30. The crash occurred on Iron Bridge Road in Bethlehem Township around 10:50 a.m. and involved a tractor-trailer with construction equipment off the road, according to initial reports. Emergency services were at the scene as of around 11:15 a.m., according to the township’s OEM, who confirmed that wires and poles were affected in the crash area. Traffic on Route 287 was delayed Wednesday morning, Oct. 25 for a crash involving a tractor trailer and two passenger cars in Morris County. The crash happened on the northbound side in Hanover Township around 8:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. A multi-vehicle crash shuttered 27 miles of Interstate 78 for nearly eight hours on Wednesday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Man Found Lying On Ground In Morris County Pronounced Dead
Police in Morris County are investigating after a man lying in the street was pronounced dead. The man's body was found around 5:20 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, at South Morris and Boonton streets in Dover, Police Chief Jonathan Delaney said. The man was later pronounced dead and an investigation into natural causes by the Dover Detective Bureau, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, and the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office, was under way.

A Hyundai SUV was heading west on the highway when a Ford traveling on the on ramp from Route 206 south around 4:30 p.m. in Mount Olive, NJSP Sgt. Charles Marchan said. The Hyundai struck the curb on the right shoulder, traveled over a concrete median and struck the Ford. Phil Murphy declared a State of Emergency in the late afternoon, as rain continued falling, leaving drivers trapped in flood waters across the state.
