A new storm system tracking along the East Coast is expected to drop several inches of rain on the region in the next two days, meteorologists say. Rainfall is expected to begin along the mid-Atlantic Tuesday night, Dec. 26, and make its way north through Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the New York City area on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 27. A transgender woman and water department supervisor from Sussex County is seeking a jury trial, compensatory and punitive damages in a lawsuit filed on claims that she was mistreated by her employer after announcing her intent to undergo gender reassignment surgery, a new report says. Wayne PD: Drunken Trespasser Climbs Head First Into Race Car, Can't Get Out
Rescuers had to cut off a roll cage to free a drunken trespasser who climbed into a sports car head first and couldn’t get out, authorities said. Jagdeep Singh, 30, apparently got into the Mazda Miata parked at the Delta gas station on southbound Route 23 to take a nap and got wedged upside-down in the roll cage, Detective Capt. Dan Daly said. Officers who responded detected an “overwhelming odor of alcohol” and summoned rescuers to get him out, Daly said. A local Board of Education trustee got more than she bargained for when she blasted her township police department's response to the coronavirus pandemic.
