A Glen Rock volunteer firefighter was hospitalized Saturday night, Dec. 21, after sustaining a head injury during a "Santa Detail" event, according to incident reporter Boyd A. Loving. The 24-year-old firefighter was riding on top of a fire truck when his head was struck by a low-hanging tree branch on Doremus Avenue, near the Glen Rock Municipal Pool, Loving said. The injury, described as non-life-threatening, prompted an immediate response from local emergency services. Central Jersey Volunteer Firefighter Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Woman
A volunteer firefighter from Central Jersey has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman, authorities announced Saturday. Raymond Brown, 67, was charged with criminal sexual contact with an adult female victim who he knew during the early afternoon on Friday, May 21, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and South River Police Chief Mark Tinitigan. The community in Bucks County is rallying for a beloved volunteer firefighter battling cancer for the fifth time. John Scheetz -- a current trustee, former president and life member of the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company -- was diagnosed with cancer three years ago.
