Friends are mourning the loss of a Mercer County woman who was among several people swept away by flood waters over the weekend in Pennsylvania. Susan Barnhardt, 53, of Titusville in Hopewell Township, was among five people who died — not including a baby and toddler who remain missing — in the unprecedented flash floods in Upper Makefield Township on Saturday, July 15. IDA: 7 Tornados Confirmed In NJ, PA
The National Weather Service has confirmed seven tornados touched down in New Jersey and Pennsylvania Wednesday night in the remnants of Hurricane Ida. The NWS is still working on completing its surveys of the heavily-damaged areas. As of Thursday, 23 people had died due to the storm in New Jersey, Gov. Phil Murphy said. Police: Bucks Dad Left Newborn Unsupervised Next To Bag Of Marijuana
An Upper Makefield Township dad was arrested after his infant baby was found unsupervised next to an open bag of marijuana, police said. Officers responded to a domestic dispute in progress on July 11, 2020, after a 911 caller said she got into an argument with her ex-boyfriend, Nicholas Mason, over custody of their child, Upper Makefield police said. A friend of the caller used the “Find my iPhone” application to locate 27-year-old Mason, police said.
