Again? Sinkhole Reopens On Route 80: Njdot New Jersey drivers on Route 80 must be feeling deja vu. A sinkhole has reopened on Route 80 in Morris County on the morning of Monday, Feb. 10, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said.  All Route 80 eastbound lanes are closed at Exit 34-Route 15 in Wharton, NJDOT said. NJDOT crews are on site to evaluate the situation, determine the extent of the damage, and stabilize the area in order to design a repair, NJDOT sad. Pedestrian On Sidewalk Killed By Driver Who Veered Off Route 46, Police Say A pedestrian on the sidewalk was struck and killed by a vehicle that veered off of Route 46 in Hackettstown Wednesday morning, Jan. 29, police said. The crash occurred around 10:52 a.m., when a 2018 GMC Canyon, driven by a 61-year-old Flanders man, veered off the road and hit a pedestrian walking on the sidewalk in front of the CVS Pharmacy on Main Street, according to the Hackettstown Police Department. Pedestrian Crash Temporarily Closes Route 1 (Updated) A pedestrian crash temporarily closed Route 1 in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 27 northbound near Adams Lane in North Brunswick Township, according to the NJDOT and local police. There were no serious injuries, North Brunswick Police Capt. Brian A. Hoiberg said. "The scene was cleared in less than a half hour," Holberg said.
