Postpartum Cow Saved After Getting Stuck In Mud In Hunterdon County (

A cow who had just given birth was rescued from the mud in Hunterdon County on Saturday, May 11. At 5:15 p.m., the Tewksbury First Aid and Rescue Squad said they were deployed after discovering the mama cow had gotten herself stuck in the mud. Tewksbury First Aid and Rescue Squad Facebook The original crew called for additional personnel, and taller boots, to assist the cow, rescuers said. It took four rescuers to save the cow, and they were able to reunite mother and calf, rescuers said. Tewksbury First Aid and Rescue Squad "Large volumes of laundry were done," rescuers said.

One person was taken to a nearby hospital after a car slammed into a utility pole and went up in flames, landing on a Hunterdon County lawn early on Sunday, July 9, responders said. The crash occurred at the intersection of Old Turnpike Road and Elliott Farm Road around 8:05 a.m., the Tewksbury First Aid and Rescue Squad said. A driver was extricated and flown to a nearby trauma center following a crash in Hunterdon County on Thursday, April 27, authorities said.
