Burn Victim Transferred In Overlook Medical Center Fire
A seventh-story electrical fire at Overlook Medical Center sent one person to a different hospital for treatment Tuesday, June 14. The blaze was put out before crews arrived around 8 p.m., sending a burn victim to Cooperman Barnabus Medical Center, Summit police tell Daily Voice. No further information was immediately available. Summit Police Department and Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad responded to the scene. The Summit Fire Department was assisted at the scene by Millburn, Springfield, and Union fire departments.

NJ Tesla Driver Dead, Others Critical In Chain Reaction Crash With Tractor Trailer
A 57-year-old Short Hills Tesla driver died in a multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer on Route 24 in Summit Thursday, May 19, authorities said. David M. Baum was traveling in the right lane on the eastbound side of the highway when he was struck by a Volvo tractor trailer, causing a chain-reaction crash near milepost 9 just after 2 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. : Victim Rescued, 2 Officers Hospitalized After Battling Smoky House Fire In Madison
One resident was rescued and two police officers were hospitalized Tuesday evening in a three-alarm house fire in Madison, authorities said. Emergency crews responding to the fire report at a home on Kings Road around 5:10 p.m. learned from family members at the scene that someone was still trapped inside, Madison police said. Acting Captain Longo attempted to enter the home but was prevented access due to the heavy smoke conditions, police said.
