NJ Man Dies When Speeding Truck Overturns, Goes Airborne In Head-On MD Crash
A New Jersey man was among two drivers killed when an SUV struck a median and went airborne on I-95 in Maryland before crashing head-on into another truck late on Thursday afternoon. Baltimore's Dennis English, Jr., 45, and John Mastropietro, 64, of Oceanport, NJ, have been identified by Maryland State Police investigators as the two killed in a violent head-on crash in Abington on Thursday, June 8 that injured two others. Firefighters Free Driver From Second Vehicle Hit By Train In Hackensack This Month
UPDATE: Hackensack firefighters cut a driver from a vehicle after it was struck by a commuter train Wednesday morning, the second time in nine days that's happened in the city. The 70-year-old driver was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening after her Subaru Forester was struck as it crossed the tracks on Clinton Avenue at Linden Street around 7:50 a.m., police Capt. Watch As Lifeguard With Prosthetic Leg Rescues Driver From Sinking Car In Bayonne
A local swimming instructor with a prosthetic leg happened to be in the right place at the right time Tuesday, when a 68-year-old driver who couldn't swim accidentally sent his car into the Newark Bay in Bayonne. The British Swim School instructor and lifeguard -- 29-year-old Anthony Capuano -- went in after him. And the entire rescue was caught on tape.
