Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Warren County: Police A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Warren County on the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 16, authorities said. At 5 p.m., officers were dispatched to Route 22 West and South Third Street after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, Lopatcong Police said. Lopatcong Police responded to the crash report near Belvidere Road (Rt. 646) between North Third Street and North Second Street just before 6:25 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, and found an NJSP state trooper treating the motorcyclist, who had landed in the front yard of a nearby home. He was four. Born in Flemington, Gunnar lived in Holland Township and attended Franklin Township Elementary School, his obituary says. Gunnar was also a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church. He loved Monster Trucks — especially Grave Digger — as well as race cars and Hot Wheels, his memorial says. Gunnar loved spending time with his family. His favorite activities included playing in the attic at his PopPop and Siti's house and fishing with PopPop. …

One Person Hospitalized, Two Dogs Killed In Warren County House Fire One person was hospitalized and two dogs were killed in a Warren County house fire Monday afternoon, state police said. The fire broke out at a home on the 600 block of Marble Hill Road in Harmony Township shortly before 12:15 p.m., NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez said. Two people successfully exited the home, though one of them was subsequently taken to St. Luke’s Warren Campus to be treated for smoke inhalation, Goez said. Two dogs were also killed in the fire, authorities said. The cause of the fire was deemed accidental/non-suspicious by the Warren County Fire Marshal.
