Suspected Robber Captured After Trying To Flee On Foot In Morris County, Police Say
A 20-year-old Budd Lake man was arrested and charged after he robbed a man and then later fled on foot on the evening of Wednesday, June 12, authorities said. At 9:15 p.m., officers responded to Eagle Rock Village on a report of a man who had been robbed by a person wearing all black with a black ski mask who had a pointed object in his hand, Mt. Olive police said. The robber, Jean Rubio, caused a minor injury to the victim and then fled on foot prior to police's arrival, officers said. A Morris County gas station was robbed at gunpoint, developing reports say. Two men showed a handgun as they robbed the Shell gas station on Route 10 W. in Hanover shortly before 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, according to initial and unconfirmed reports. The men then fled in a blue BMW, the initial report says. Police did not immediately return DailyVoice.com’s request for additional details. This is a developing story. Check back for more.

DWI PA Man Found With Hollow-Point Bullets At Route 206 Gas Station: Police
A PA man was intoxicated when he was found with a box of hollow-point bullets at a gas station on Route 206, police said. Police responding to a report of an erratic driver on Route 206 found Ronald E. Whitaker slumped over the steering wheel at the Shell gas station in Stanhope on Oct. 30, Byram Township police said in a Wednesday release. Whitaker, of New Milford, PA, was awoken by officers who felt that he was intoxicated. Whitaker subsequently failed a series of field sobriety tests, authorities said.
