'Loud Bang' Leads Police To Drunk, Reckless Driver: Denville PD A 31-year-old Rockaway woman was arrested and charged with drunk driving following a crash on Sunday, Dec. 22, authorities said. That day, officers were alerted to a "loud bang" on Indian Road and Route 53, Denville police said. Officers discovered a crash with the driver, Kristen Cobb, still inside the vehicle, police said. Following an investigation, Cobb was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated, police said. Cobb was also issued summonses for reckless driving and careless driving, police said.

Lanes Closed After Truck Jackknifes On Route 53 A jackknifed tractor trailer has snarled traffic on Route 53 in Morris County on the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 10. At 8:18 a.m., a tractor trailer jackknifed on Route 53 northbound in the area of Route 80 in Denville Township, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. All lanes are closed, NJDOT said.

2 Teens Hospitalized After Being Struck By Car In Morris County Crosswalk: Police Two teens were hospitalized after being struck by a car in a Morris County crosswalk Tuesday evening, police confirmed. The driver, Donald Reddin, 29, had been making a left turn from Route 53 onto Hall Avenue in Denville when the victims, ages 14 and 15, were struck in a marked crosswalk around 6:10 p.m., Police Capt. Jeffrey Tucker told Daily Voice. The teens were taken to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Reddin, of Denville, was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving and tinted windows, Tucker said.
