Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Morris County, Prosecutor Says A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Route 46 in Parsippany on the evening of Thursday, June 6, authorities said. At 9:50 p.m., the pedestrian was struck near 1429 Route 46 by a 2015 Dodge Journey traveling eastbound, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said.  The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. The driver remained on scene, authorities said. The man who died has not been publicly identified. The crash remains under investigation, authorities said.

Chick-fil-A announced its the opening date of the new Parsippany location at 1180 Route 46.  The restaurant will be open for pick-up, dine-in, drive-thru and carryout from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the drive-thru open until 10 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Chick-fil-A will be closed Sundays, of course. The restaurant will be opened by Charlie Atie, the former police chief in Prospect Park. Police: Mail Stolen From Morris County Collection Boxes Parsippany Police have issued a warning after two mail collection boxes were broken into overnight. Boxes at 1160 Parsippany Blvd. and 1180 Route 46 were forcibly entered between 4 p.m. Jan. 22 and 7 a.m. Jan. 23, according to police. The mail collection box on Midvale Avenue in Mountain Lakes was also forced open during the same time frame.
