Mulch Fire Doused Outside Mahwah Housing Development
Firefighters doused a mulch blaze that spread to a Mahwah affordable housing development before it could do severe damage. The two-alarm fire broke out at the Ramapo Brae development off Stag Hill Road near Route 287 and the Ramapo RIver around 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 29. Township firefighters doused the Brae Lane blaze after it extended to one of the buildings. A driver was hospitalized following a Wednesday afternoon crash involving a tractor-trailer on Route 287, state police confirmed. The crash occurred in the southbound lanes near milepost 46.7 in Montville just before 1 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Alejandro Goez told DailyVoice.com. One person died after becoming trapped in a car fire on Route 287 Thursday afternoon, state police confirmed. A Jersey Shore driver was killed when his tractor separated from its trailer and fell from a Route 287 overpass during an overnight crash, authorities said. Jose L. Woman Hospitalized After SUV Hits Route 287 Divider, Overturns In Morris County
A woman was hospitalized Tuesday morning after her SUV hit a divider and overturned on Route 287 in Morris County, state police said. The woman was behind the wheel of a Toyota RAV4 when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to hit the divider and overturn in the northbound lanes near milepost 32.7 in Harding Township just after 11 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry told Daily Voice. The woman was taken to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of injuries deemed non-life-threatening, Curry said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Medical Chopper Summoned For Victim Of ATV Crash In Wanaque Woods
A victim in an ATV crash near the Wanaque Reservoir was being airlifted to the hospital late Friday afternoon into early evening. The crash occurred in the woods off Parkside Drive near Route 287 around 4:30 p.m., responders said. The victim was taken by ambulance to a landing zone on Ringwood Avenue to be picked up by AirMed One for transport. There was no immediate word on the victim’s condition.

State Police: Woman, 26, Hospitalized After Truck Debris Shatters Windshield On Route 287
A 26-year-old woman was hospitalized Monday morning after the windshield of her SUV was shattered by truck debris on Route 287, state police said. Debris from a truck shattered the windshield of the the Honda Passport in the left southbound lane near exit 36 in Morris Township shortly before 8:20 a.m., NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice. The woman was taken to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of a hand injury, Goez said. The scene was clear by 9 a.m., police said.
