NJ Soccer Captain Suffered Broken Neck, Ribs In Crash, Campaign Says
Support is on the rise for an 18-year-old North Jersey high school soccer captain who sustained multiple broken bones in a crash last month.
Molly Mack, the captain of the Whippany High School girls team, was identified by the team's booster club as the person seriously injured in the Sunday, Oct. 27 crash between two SUVs on Route 24 in Florham Park, as previously reported by Daily Voice.
A week later, more than $122,000 had been raised for her recovery on a GoFundMe launched by her aunt and uncle, Tom Hamill and Jennifer Gullace, who say Mack was a passenger in one of the vehicles.

Hackettstown Man, 43, Charged With Assault By Auto, DWI In Head-On Morris County Crash
A Hackettstown man has been charged with assault by auto in a head-on DWI crash in Morris County, police said.
The 43-year-old man — whose name was not released — was intoxicated when he allegedly caused a head-on crash with injuries on Route 24 near the Ralston Firehouse on May 17, Mendham Township Police said.
The man was charged with assault by auto and DWI, police confirmed Thursday.
“Luckily, the injuries sustained in this collision were minor, but driving drunk or high is a danger, not only to yourself, but to all of us on the roads,” police said. “Please drive safe and sober!”

A 25-year-old Jersey Shore driver died in a Morris County crash Saturday, authorities said.
Stephanie Santora, of Jackson, was behind the wheel of an unknown vehicle that was struck by a truck pulling a utility trailer east in the left lane of Route 24 near mile post 5.7 at 12:22 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Alejandro Goez said.
The impact of the crash sent Santora's car into a Toyota RAV4, which then struck a Jeep Cherokee, Goez said.
Santora's car went up in flames and she was pronounced dead, while her 26-year-old male passenger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
