: Serial Porch Pirate Spotted By Lyndhurst Crossing Guard Dives Into Dumpster
A Lyndhurst porch pirate was spotted by a school crossing guard, pursued by the township police chief and captured after he dove into a Dumpster, authorities said. Jaquiece Shaddeer Smith, a 35-year-old longtime repeat offender from Garfield, made headlines just last month when he was identified snatching packages there while wearing both a distinctive jacket made of NFL team patches and with bright yellow sneakers. : Serial Porch Pirate Wore Same Jacket, Yellow Kicks Each Time: Garfield PD
He wore a distinctive black jacket arrayed with NFL team patches, not to mention sneakers you couldn’t miss -- yellow. He also already had a lengthy arrest record. Garfield Detectives Sebastian Tyburski and Arkadiusz Dudek interviewed eyewitnesses and gather…

In Wallington, detectives investigating an "uptick" in porch piracy identified a narrow time frame and area, along with a description of a suspect and the vehicle he was driving, Capt. Shawn Kudlacik said Tuesday. Detectives Joseph Rock, Simon Popek and Brian …

: Rochelle Park Detectives Nab Accused Porch Pirates, Recover 32 Packages From Pickup
Spotting what had become a notorious white pickup truck, a Hackensack special police officer helped Rochelle Park detectives nab three accused porch pirates who they said snatched packages from residents in several Bergen County towns. They also found 32 stolen packages in the bed and cab of the 2015 Ford F-150. Rochelle Park Dispatcher Mike Columbini, who is also a Special Police Officer 2 in Hackensack, alerted Detective Sgt. James DePreta to the vehicle, which parked on a Hackensack street. He noticed its distinct window vent guards, tinted windows and a sticker on the front A-pillar t…
