The incident happened on the Southern State Parkway in West Hempstead, in the westbound lanes near exit 17, late Wednesday night, Oct. 30. A New Jersey man was found hanging in the front yard of his family's home over the weekend, police said. Lakewood officers responding to a home on Cedar Street found the 23-year-old man hanging from a tree in the yard, Lakewood Police Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith said.
