Motorcyclist Airlifted To Hospital After Serious Warren County Crash, Police Say
A motorcyclist was airlifted to a nearby hospital after a weekend crash in Warren County, authorities confirmed. A motor vehicle collided with the motorcyclist on Route 173 near milepost 2.2 in Greenwich Township just before 12:50 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, Police Chief Richard Hummer told DailyVoice.com on Tuesday. The motorcyclist was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital for serious injuries and later discharged, Hummer said. The crash remains under investigation. No further details were released. An 18-year-old Phillipsburg man was arrested after firing several gunshots during an attempted assault in the area, authorities announced. James Goodwine, of Elm Street, was charged with attempted aggravated assault, conspiracy, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, all second-degree offenses, Warren County Prosecutor James L. The driver of a pickup truck towing landscaping equipment suffered minor injures when he was struck by a box truck on a Warren County highway Tuesday afternoon, authorities said. The pickup truck driver was traveling near Route 173 and the exit ramp to Interstate 78 eastbound in Greenwich Township when the driver of a box truck pulled out into the same lane around 2 p.m., Greenwich police said.
