Man, 30, Charged With Killing Dog In Hunterdon County: Prosecutor A 30-year-old Hunterdon County man was arrested and charged after he fatally shot a pit bull on Monday, Aug. 12, authorities said. At 1:30 p.m., officers responded to Flemington Whitehouse Road in Readington Township on a report of a homeowner discharging a weapon, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office and Readington Township Police Department said. Trenton Man Arrested After Pit Bull Attack, Stabbing: Police A 29-year-old Trenton man has been arrested for attempted murder after setting his pit bull loose on a man before stabbing him, authorities said. The attack occurred on July 13 at about 10:20 a.m. at New Willow and Southard streets, according to Trenton police. Police found a 50-year-old male victim from Trenton bleeding heavily from a severe cut to his midsection. Police: Bichon Frisé Breaks Loose, Killed By Pit Bull On Glen Rock Street A pit bull killed a Bichon Frisé who’d broken loose while being walked on a Glen Rock street, authorities said. The plume-tailed toy dog slipped his harness while being walked by a young boy on Dean Street, Police Chief Dean Ackermann. As the boy ran home to get his help, a pit bull being walked by a 69-year-old man coming from the opposite direction grabbed hold of the other dog, the chief said.
